Irish Myth and Legend is made up of many stories and sagas of great adventures, love stories and fierce battles that have been handed down orally through time by the ancient peoples of Ireland. The coming of Christianity brought great change to Ireland and its people at the time and enabled those ancient tales to be written down for the first time.

Today traces of these ancient people can be seen throughout the Landscape of Ireland like Megalithic Tombs, Ring Forts, Dolmens, Stone Circles and Crannógs. There are various museums housing a wealth of artefacts left behind by the people of the past and in The libraries of each County in Ireland is a vast quantity of literature concerning ancient history and local heritage.
